Terms and Conditions
The following terms and conditions must be read carefully. Any booking of our packages and/or tours implies acceptance of these conditions, which constitute your contract with Morocco Shade Explore.
1. Prices Indicated
The prices are based on supplier rates, exchange rates, fuel costs, taxes, and other fees in effect at the time the packages and tours are created.
– Price Changes : Prices may change due to increases in taxes, fees, or charges required by a public authority. If the price of the contract increases by less than 7% , the client agrees to pay the difference. For an increase of 7% or more, the client can choose between:
– Canceling the contract and receiving a full refund.
– Accepting replacement services offered by the travel agent.
All prices are in US dollars and are valid based on availability at the time of booking. GST, QST, the accommodation tax per person, and other taxes are included. Prices also include a contribution of $0.10 for every $1000 spent, which goes to the Travel Agents Compensation Fund.
Reservation and Payment Conditions
2. Deposit and Payment
2.1 Deposit
A deposit of 30% of the total trip cost per person is required at the time of booking for all our Autumn-Winter/Spring packages, to be sent via bank transfer.
Exceptions:
– If the booking is made less than 45 days before departure, full payment is required.
2.2 Final Payment
The final payment must be made either 45 days before the departure date or upon the clients’ arrival in Morocco when they meet our representative (driver-Accompanying). Morocco Shade Explore may establish different payment conditions to ensure the trip and prevent any fraud.
Payment and Confirmation
No reservation is confirmed until the deposit (30% of the total amount based on the selected service and trip) is received. Bank drafts or transfers are accepted.
2.3 Fees for Changes or Cancellations
– If Morocco Shade Explore cancels, all amounts paid will be fully refunded.
– If the passenger cancels, the following fees apply:
Cancellation Fees:
– 45 days or more before: 100% of the deposit and any transport costs already paid.
– 44 to 31 days before: 80% of the total amount.
– 30 days or less: 100% of the total amount.
3. Groups
3.1 Deposit
A deposit of 40% of the total trip cost per person is required for all group packages.
3.2 Final Payment
The final payment must be made 60 days before departure. If less than 60 days, full payment is required.
3.3 Fees for Changes and Cancellations
– If Morocco Shade Explore cancels, full refund will be provided.
– If the passenger cancels:
– Change Fee:$75 per person, non-refundable.
– Cancellation Fees:
– 60 days or more before: 100% of the deposit and transport costs.
– 59 days or less: 100% of the total amount.
3.4 Group Requirements
A group must consist of at least 10 passengers to guarantee the departure. If there are fewer than 10 passengers, departures can be booked privately.
4. Accommodations
All accommodations are of good quality but may vary according to Moroccan standards. Morocco Shade Explore does not guarantee special requests.
5. Unused Services
No refunds will be given for services not used during the trip.
6. Complaints
Passengers should immediately inform the agency if an issue arises. If the issue cannot be resolved, a written complaint must be sent within 10 days of returning. Morocco Shade Explore’s liability is limited to the price of the package.
Travel Documents and Travel Insurance
7. Travel Documents
– Passport : Must be valid for at least 6 months after your planned departure date from Morocco.
– Traveler’s Name : Must match the name on the passport when making the reservation.
– Consulate : Each traveler should check with their consulate to understand their rights and obligations in Morocco.
– Traveling with a Child : A parent traveling alone with a child under 18 must provide a notarized statement from the other parent allowing the child to travel.
– Traveler’s Responsibility : It is your responsibility to obtain all necessary travel documents before departure. Make sure to follow the laws of the relevant authorities.
– Boarding Access : Carriers and authorities may deny boarding to any passenger who does not have the required documents.
– Document Verification : It is important to check that the documents received match the reservations made.
8. Travel Insurance
– Recommendation: It is strongly advised to purchase travel insurance that includes:
– Trip cancellation coverage
– Insurance for lost or damaged luggage
– Coverage for medical expenses and hospitalization
– Client’s Responsibility : The client should be aware of the insurance conditions offered by their credit cards, group insurance at work, or other personal insurance. Morocco Shade Explore cannot be held responsible for any information provided about these.
- No Insurance Included : No travel insurance is included in our tours and/or packages.
9. Responsibilities of the Traveler
Travelers must inform Morocco Shade Explore of their intentions, goals, needs, and expectations regarding the chosen trip before making a reservation. Due to the heat in some areas, frequent travel, and changes in food, travelers should be in good health to undertake their journey.
Any traveler with specific conditions, such as a disability or physical limitation, must inform Morocco Shade Explore in writing at the time of booking and provide a valid medical document confirming their ability to participate in the selected package or tour. No refunds will be given if the traveler fails to disclose these conditions. Before departure, travelers are advised to check with medical authorities about preventive measures in Morocco and to carry enough medication.
Dietary Restrictions
Each traveler must inform Morocco Shade Explore of any food allergies or intolerances. Requests may be passed on to suppliers, but it is the traveler’s responsibility to obtain food if a satisfactory arrangement cannot be made.
Pregnancy
Pregnant travelers may pose risks to themselves or their unborn child. An airline may require a medical certificate before departure. It is the traveler’s responsibility to inform their insurance provider. Morocco Shade Explore cannot be held responsible for any negative consequences that arise during or after the trip.
Traveler Behavior
Any traveler who behaves disruptively towards others or service providers, despite a warning, will be removed from the trip without a refund.
10. Responsibilities
The health and safety of our travelers are a priority. Morocco Shade Explore makes arrangements with transport providers and suppliers to ensure quality services. While we carefully choose our partners, Morocco Shade Explore cannot be held responsible for their actions, mistakes, or negligence.
The services offered are subject to the suppliers’ terms and conditions. The visits and activities were available at the time of printing, but changes may occur. In case of force majeure, Morocco Shade Explore reserves the right to modify the trip without liability.
Limitations of Liability
Morocco Shade Explore is not responsible for any loss or damage resulting from delays, cancellations, bad weather, illness, accidents, or other events beyond our control.
11. Loss, Forgetting, or Theft of Personal Belongings
It is the traveler’s responsibility to take care of their belongings. In case of loss, forgetting, or theft, it is recommended to take necessary steps on site. Morocco Shade Explore is not responsible for these issues, and claims should be directed to your insurance.
12. Identity Protection
Protecting our clients’ identities is a priority for Morocco Shade Explore. We only ask for necessary information for our operations and do not share or sell personal data.
By making a reservation, the traveler confirms they have read, understood, and accepted the terms and conditions outlined above.
